Pomfret Ghee Roast

Pomfret Ghee Roast is a delicious snack treat which can be served as a starter in any kind of party like birthday, anniversery etc.as well. Juicy pomret coated with a mix of spices and fried in ghee will just melt in your mouth and it tastes relishing. But its not a good option for those who are on a diet because it has lots of fats and carbohydrates which are not good for the people who are on diet but no prblm you can simply bake them so that you can lesser the amount of fat in it and at the same time enjoy the delicious dish. So without wasting much time lets get started.


Ingredients:-

Pomfret fish-3pcs (approx 500gms)
Onion-1 cut into cubes
Garlic-7 to 8 cloves 
Ginger-1inch cut into small pieces 
Green chillies-2 medium sized
Turmeric powder-1/2tsp
Kashmiri Red chilli powder-1tsp
Coriander powder-1tsp
Cumin powder-1tsp
Black pepper powder-1/2tsp
Garam masala-1/2tsp
Coriander leaves-2tbsp
Lemon juice-1tsp
Maida-1tbsp
Besan-1tbsp
Mustard oil-1tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee for frying

Procedure:-

Clean the fishes well.
Make incisions on both sides of the fish so that the marinde goes in well.
Marinate the fish with salt, turmeric and lemon juice and let the fish rest for 1 hour in refrigerator.
Meanwhile in a mixer grinder jar make a fine paste of onions garlic ginger chillies and coriander and keep aside.
After one hour take a big mixing bowl and add the paste into it.
Add in coriander powder,cumin powder and red chilli powder.
Add 1 tsp oil for better taste.
Add besan and maida and mix well.
Coat the fishes with the marinde and let it rest for 10 minutes so that the masalas get inside the fish.
After 10 minutes.
Add ghee into the pan.
This much fish requires 100ml of ghee as we will shallow fry them.
Heat the ghee well.
Add in the fish and fry untill they turned golden from both sides.
Make sure you fry them on medium flame.
This entire process will usually take 10-15 minutes to get perfectly fried.
After frying squeeze lemon on top and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve Hot.
