- Condensed Milk Recipie
Condensed milk is cow's milk from which water has been removed. It is most often found in the form of "sweetened condensed milk" ("SCM"), with sugar added, and the terms "condensed milk" and "sweetenedcondensed milk" are often used interchangeably today. Sweetened condensed milk is a very thick, sweet product, which when canned can last for years without refrigeration if not opened. Condensed milk is used in numerous dessert dishes in many countries.
A related product is evaporated milk, which has undergone a more complex process and which is not sweetened. Evaporated milk is known in some countries as unsweetened condensed milk. So Lets check out its recipie:-
Ingredients:-
Milk-1ltr
Sugar-400gm
Procedure:-
In a deep bottom saucepan add milk and sugar.
Mix well and bring to a boil on medium heat by stirring continuosly.
Make sure you stir it constantly otherwise the milk may stick to the pan.
When you see that the sugar has well dissolved simmer the heat to low and keep it simmering for 30-40 minutes or more untill you see the milk has reduced to almost half and catched a creamy texture and a dark skinnish color.
Stir in between.
Switch off the flame when you see that your milk has thicken much because when you will rest it to cool down it will thicken more. So check the consistency as per your choice.
Try to stop simmering when you get a batter like consistency.
After doing flame off cool it completely and store in an airtight container and use upto 6 months.
